100 Pieces, 100 Seats
Art for Good
Fifty page art catalogue designed for The B!G Idea’s first art auction. The auction was advertised as having 100 Pieces for sale and 100 seats available on the auction night. The B!G Idea’s brand energy is heavily linked to bold colours, but for this piece, those colours had to take a back seat. The catalogue called for clarity, simplicity, and sophistication. It needed to emulate the feeling of an art gallery.
To bridge the gap between brand identity and the need for a more refined, functional piece, the brand’s established type system and use of photography was leaned into throughout the design, but they were set against a muted palette to continue the ‘gallery’ feeling.
Project scope included design, photographic treatment and editing, photography of final spreads and print design.
